He's surely gone off the deep end. It's not just that his views seem to change wildly. It's that he's so afire with passion in each compass direction... and to think I once gave that man money. Brute.

Nuance

Nuance is a one-way street. For George Bush, it's apparently the wrong way -- so when he answers a question about the War on Terrorism by saying it's not exactly "winnable," which is in fact an appropriately nuanced answer, this is considered not a subtle distinction made in response to a simplistic question but rather a faux pas.
